Our Microsoft CRM Integration Process

Sonoma Partners uses the following process for our Microsoft CRM Customization and Integration projects:



The amount of time and energy spent in each phase will grow and shrink depending on your needs and the size of the project. After each phase, we will review the deliverables with you before proceeding to the next phase. Diligently following this process helps us deliver all of our projects on budget and on time.

Discovery
  • Identify and establish key project contacts and decision makers
  • Information Architecture review of any existing prototype or benchmark software (including database schema, layout, objects, etc.)
  • Review technical and system specifications (review expected peak and average usage, web server specifications, service level agreements, web hosting environment, etc.)
  • Gather corporate graphics, marketing materials and other corporate brand documentation
  • Create development and testing environment, including source control
  • Identify any existing customer support strategies

    Sonoma Partners will deliver a Discovery Analysis Document summarizing the key findings of the Discovery Phase and identifying any areas of potential project risk.


    Define
  • Map information architecture
  • Finalize web hosting and server infrastructure requirements
  • Object design & specify database connectivity method
  • Define browsers supported for customers
  • Establish system test plan and supporting documentation
  • User interface screen mockups, page schematics and page flows
  • Gather test data for development

    Sonoma Partners will deliver the following to the client at the conclusion of the Define Phase:
     1.Project Definition Document that specifies site architecture, page flow, page schematics and requirements.
     2.Detailed project plan for the development and implementation of the Software.


    Build
  • Write source code and any custom objects
  • Create and implement website graphics and user interface
  • Installation and configuration of application in a testing environment


    Test
  • Generate test data
  • Functional and performance testing
  • Review use of Sonoma Partner's defect tracking tool for client use
  • Business acceptance that software meets project goals and objectives
  • Installation and configuration of live application server environment
  • Correct and update any issues that arise during testing


    Deploy
  • Site migration and launch to live web servers and data center environment
  • Delivery of source code and any related documentation
